Tokyo, Monday, an emergency session of the Japanese Cabinet was held at Premier Tokyo's official residence at 5pm Eastern Standard Time. London, Japanese naval forces have bombed British bases in the Pacific. It was announced officially late tonight. Keep you under this station for further development. The National Broadcasting Company in cooperation with the National Council of Catholic Men presents the Catholic Hour. For everyone's games and gillets of forest farmers, head of the Catholic World will now be delivered in six. The series of seven erections on one is wrong and how to set it right. It is just for today's entitled Politics and Religion, Religion and Pollock. It presents far the gillet. It will all move every platform like you, a radio-at-ra, and after dinner, speech, and hour-day, in a more serious time than magazine article. And in many months, occurs a statement or its equivalent, that we live in a world of confused. Two, so obviously, two, that seem silly to say it. But there are various kinds of confusion, and the most fundamental kind is a thousand so much as men. I mean mental confusion. A fusion in the realm of vision. A prevalent political confusion and moral confusion. A fair away conflict. If men would only think straight, of course, they're not passionate persons who don't want to think. They seem to say, don't ask me to think. Don't let me think. But most men would think, if they could. The heart of man is generally the right place. But his thinking apparatus is often as a rational, say, coupled out of order. Something like this Murray Butler, eight years ago, a significant seat on the subject, thinking as a law of art. How they turn the post 300 years ago, has put it in the one that is unsusgetable, divine, and countless, how do you think, just like, of the thinking you've done? How many never think they do, and not 300, but three thousand years ago? The topic, given by a said, was the professor in the poet's version, saying, and said it more eloquently. Congratulations to all the world's greatest catalysts, because no man thinks it. Enough of that. It's a tempting thing, but it's not no my purpose to develop it. A lot I had in mind to say is the fact that one evidence, a blame and it was instigated by most men, is their instantaneous reaction to the sight of all this thought. The aging and politics, politics and religion, keeps those things apart, they say. Separate, as they is separate from life. No, not that. After all, there is a highlight in which life and day, need, and think. Separate politics and religion, as the divisions of the whole of the pathoship are separated, with a more head of the seed. Separate religion and politics, with the immacible of faith. Which, as our father Abraham told Diabetes, separates heaven from hell. Victil to the truth, religion or politics, or responds to heaven and which to hell, seems to be a matter of debate. In Russia they say the religion is hell. In America we profess to believe that politics is more likely to be a little bit. Not the enough, both in the US, S.R., and in the USA. There is a wide agreement that religion and politics must be kept as far apart as heaven and hell. Indeed, it breaks many Americans will tell you that the principle of the separation of church and states, involving disassociation of religion and politics, is a fundamental part of the labor of our government. But from the beginning of the world until now, there has never been a kingdom and empire, a state, a city. Or any form of political society from its religion was excluded. It has never been done because it cannot be done. It has been attempted. It has been momentarily and partially accomplished. You can no more take religion out of a state and keep it out. Then you can take hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, out of the air and keep the noise. You can indeed make a vacuum. A small vacuum in a laboratory. When you produce a vacuum, make a summon over force to destroy it. Make a rapport with the vacuum. So, you may take religion out of a state of nature, human nature, you will put it back again, and that is compiled as the whole psychological plunders. It is to imagine the religion is something unnatural. The whole is a full man by the priest's path. Therefore, it must be kept up to the more important affairs of men. Now, some 80-year-old six-tattles, the whole announcement, strong enough to kill all priests, and they all tend to the religion, latches the ground, with not a stone upon a stone. They can work again, well in the earth, with a draft from the grain from the floor, roll again on a battlefield, that has been made a desert by shots and gall and poison cows. They can come down from above, but also it comes out of the soil, out of the flood and thrown the land, out of his heart and find and soul. Take religion out of human life, you will have the same effect as taking the elements of the atmosphere out of the atmosphere. Sometimes, sometimes, desert and senatic, scientific and senatic, or religious senatic, one time as bad as the other. Tell us that on a certain day this comment on its way to earth will fern out the atmosphere that until it is slow. The past of it is all is going to happen. Never does that happen. God does not let it happen. But if the atmosphere of chemical elements in which the body of man is was suddenly burned away, he would not be so basic calamity as if the religious atmosphere necessary for the life of a human soul were to explode and panic. Another mistake of the importance of religion is that they recognize no distinction between religion and faith, atheism can no longer be discovered because some religion is biased. It is like protecting all food because some food is boiled. Unlike the logic of the man who reading the policies as fast as I can feel by stepping on a patient's soul and a bathtub, just off and ever again to use soul. And to never forget it will tough. Like the logic of the man who argues and because of that, as God, if people die and fed, one is better not go to fed. Till he, gone, no sillier than a framed deal of what the patients are thinking and these are rational signs. Have you not met persons for example who are doing go to church because they say that some don't go to church or hypocrites? I don't make my easy to do that. It's just one man to me. Big man in the business world. Because the last time I went to Holy Communion, I saw the order ale, people who hold me money and don't say. The logic is that as a gentleman who commits suicide on the doorstep of the one who has done them wrong, I've also met pilots to him and gave up the listen. Because they have been innate, she wells up front Allen, or in James Deeprazer, the savages believe in a savage God. But as any church has a civilized man, the believe in a savage God, he's not a civilized God, a civilized people. You say don't like the God of a savage, a mumble jumbo, but that matters they don't like the top tax card. The role of top death, God, the brutal care God, in being passive, what about the God of the same time as a fighter? Or the same to justice? What about the God of Jesus Christ? But I say the silliest reason, the craziest logic, seems to surprise the man who doesn't want to go to church. And if that's the man who doesn't want to take a path, or go to death, and getting rid of God through the atheist, especially the Soviet atheist, the muscle, make a God of the people. All they say is the Holy Parian. But the people can be just as cruel as any fabulous God. The people serve the great people, the Vatican of Hamilton, the great people of the East and the East, the great monster, like the people in the courtyard of the Ptoorium of Pallet, how, like many acts, for the release of a murderer, and for the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Shall we therefore say such the people, all the people, all the time, is the great peace, where will that triumphs by the people? Now my friends, I know the patient of the politics, till that's the politicians. But I think it only fair to say, that Zion and the art of politics have been the victims of crooked things. In the same way, if not to the same degree, religion has been victimized by crooked things. Some men, can I say more so? When they say politics, have in mind the greatest polym, the base, full of this polym. At the fact I have in this series of thoughts, used the word in that sense, but only after explaining that I spoke not of politics, pure and simple, rather than Machiavellian politics. Now what is polym? Let's have a definition. Another sarcastic definition, or a cynical, or a telco definition. But the general aside and guessing aside, what is polym? Politics is a dictionary, it's a science which speaks of the principle of civil government, and the conduct of state affairs in the interest of peace, prosperity, and safety. Again, politics, is that rank of ethics which deals with the relation to the duties of states or social organizations. And evidently there's nothing ignoble or defaced or shameful about that kind of politics. Of course, you may find also in the dictionary, secondary definitions of polym. Polym, actional rivalry, intrigue, fire pulling, flickering, but it's a mistaken logic, and an unfair procedure to not put politics in the bad and condemn all polym. An astral hymn of faith, but God save the king, and bear the lines of best God, can sound their politics, frustrate their navy's tricks. Politics, somebody else is politics, and seems not only to rhyme with, but to be identified with tricks. There again, and have that politics. The policy of confusing good and bad and pure for us. Politics is not only a branch of life, an indispensable requisite for the welfare of the human race. Well then, the politics will be anarchy. American communist, man-conscientist, is the truth of the solv yet to say. Sometimes it's plain, he's thrilled he's our temporary, and at the time will come when the state can afford his benches filled in, and that indeed, the ultimate aim of communism, is the abolition of the state, art the enough. The same objective was visualized by Friedrich Ricci, the forerunner of Nazism, he held it all, states, and all government at times, and must finally be done available. Then there is no state. There will indeed be no politics. No politics. But then there is no state. There will also be anarchy. And I have written, therefore putting aside the late, and unreasonably, no politics and the religion, has become plain, the greatest throne of the human race at any time. And especially in this present time, it will be the true operation of pure politics, and right religion. What hails as well, is the elimination of religions and politics. The strain as well is false, and men and women cannot see that fact. It will feature in the pulpit, as well as the congregations. When you leave, take your religion with you. Don't leave it in the queue. Take it into your hall, into the kitchen, into the bedroom, into all your family life, social life. Take religion with you when you go to work. You will need it in the office, in the factory, in the mines, in the mills. For all that you need it in service. Take religion with you when you go to a place to benign. You have a little controversy between your religion and your entertainment. Well, see some of the benign the same as in which your religion, your presence, and welfare of your soul, will be safeguarded. Go on, go on, the Queen. A woman like that, is a slave, acting as a sensitive, and shall we then say to a man whose vocation is politic, leave your religion and serve to inform when you go to the council chamber, or to the caucus, to parliament or to Congress, and you are done and being. There are staffers saying thanks to our weak, say villain. I thank you for that condition, if not to separate religion and politics, but to combine them. If not too much to say, then the president's bad condition of this world has come to pass the charge of the secularization of the parliament. Politicians of a face of type, and, effectively, since the French Revolution, have insisted that God be kept out of all affairs and states. That's our settled-out problem, and they say, make our plans, and direct our government, without reference to God or religion. They say such things, another way out of the implication of what they say. If you leave our God, leave our justice, and right, and truth. If you leave our God, this cannot be repeated to all of them, nor will you repeat it, unless some people seem to understand it, leave our justice, because God is justice. God is right. God is truth. He's God out of politics, out of government, out of the media, and government, and all political facts. Leave our truth. And right, this is embarrassing. If that remaining, something but expedient is there. Self-efficient is it. International rivalry. You leave our God. Leave our Lord, and for lasting peace. There is no hope for peace in the midst of natural antipathy. You must turn to the supernatural, and the ultimate, absolute supernatural. God. Although it may seem to see in the art the sound of metaphysical statements, and perhaps for that reason, politicians have not grasped that. But politicians, worthy to be called statements, have not ignored them. God, watching them declare, a reason and experience, hope, and bid us to expect, a national morality can prevail, in the exclusion of religious principles. Some of Jefferson did not leave God out of the declaration of independence. All men, he says, have been in solid fire there, and set in right. These rights will be gotten not as fresh as the real man but of God. If the right of man or for man, man can take them away. If they are the gifts of the state, the state can withhold the gift or demand effect. But if the right of man are of God, no man, no state can alienate them. Peace, then, must be negotiated, and ratified in the name of God. An earlier day, so great governance, immense surprise, to nominate, to nominate, to nominate, amen. In the name of the Lord, amen, will be in. I venture further, war must be declared, and wage, if at all, in the name of God. If men do not dare to call God to witness the justice of a war, he is no just war for them. The name of God out of war, is to admit the Godlessness of that war. The same time as the finest lay of sound, is one of the records of a just war, and it must be conducted in the spirit of justice, and of love. He is justified war only on conditions, but it be an instrument from the hand of man to do the will of God. Today, that high and holy doctrine, is considered by some people to be ridiculous, or impossible, but it remains true, that the war cannot be justified in the eyes if God is not a just war, to declare war, or to participate in war. The God-revenge of God, is as sacrilegious as to attempt to conduct any political function, without dissonance, in the help of religion. The logic-kippling is not usually considered a religious mind as solid, but he did have a grand glimpse of the truth, that war without God is a wicked war, or he signs, but even half the foot of the suss in speaking, shoes and iron suss, all signs just to steal the suss, and guarding, or not to eat the God. For practical and foolish words, I am mercy on my people, Lord, in peace, in war, in all the relationships, man with man, the nation with nations, he must remain under the eagerness of God, or resale鋭. The address you'll just heard was entitled, politics and religion, religion and politics, were delivered by the reverend gains and gilets of the Paulist fathers. This was a sixth and particle of the series of seven addresses on what is wrong and how to set it right. How do this part maybe procured by writing to the National Council of Catholic Man Washington D.C. or to the patients of ritualism? And now finds the National Council of Catholic Man by all those listens to join in offering up this prayer for peace. O God, from whom my holy desire, write counsels just works. Gives that I serve in faith peace which the world cannot give. At our heart, may be devoted to keeping a right in mind, our countries spare the horror of war, and our brethren and other lands left with the gifts of right peace who's right, our Lord, Amen. This wave was over Hulu at about 5.30pm Eastern Standard Time. In making this announcement, the White House also cast doubt on the authenticity of earlier reports that the Japanese had bombed Manila.
